KWADRA | Trashion Workshop by the Tkaczyk x Bijoś duo
Join us for an art workshop where we will transform waste into works of art inspired by the scarecrow motif from Kacper Bijoś's photographs.
Address: Fort Institute of Photography Gallery, Władysława Szpilmana Street 6 (formerly Racławicka Street 99), Building 4, Fort Mokotów, Warsaw
Date: Thursday, August 28, 2025, 6:00 PM
Free admission
Under the guidance of artist Alicja Tkaczyk, we will give a new life to a plastic packaging, foil, tinsel, old textiles, and small trinkets, transforming them into colorful, sculptural forms.
How do we work?
You can work individually and create a miniature scarecrow or join forces with friends to build spectacular "XL scarecrows."
This is a casual and creative experience that's engaging for all ages. When you leave the workshop, you'll look at your trash from a new perspective—and take home a unique piece of art.
What to bring?
Everything you normally throw away: washed food packaging, foil, used fabric, chocolate wrappers, and unwanted knick-knacks—all clean and dry to ensure long-lasting crafts. We also provide string, double-sided tape, and scissors, although we'll try to provide some of the materials.
The workshops are free. Participation in the workshop is at your own risk – please use tools (scissors, etc.) carefully and follow the instructor's instructions.
Workshop duration: 1 to 2 hours
